today is the last day of the month-long 3:30 project. i really enjoyed doing it, even though i learned that 3:30 is not a particularly exciting time of day for me. i considered extending the project, but i don't think i will, at least not at this time. i'm tired of taking pictures in my office or the lab. i also considered changing the time, but i'm not going to continue for now.
i will, however, try to post more regularly than i was before august. thanks for reading!

3:30 project - my bedroom, plus two other things 8.5.09
so today i was supposed to fly to maryland and be mid-flight at 3:30. but instead, my plane hit a goose during takeoff and we had to land again, my flight was cancelled and i couldn't get another one for today.
that's not a particularly beautiful picture, but at least the subject is interesting.
i try not to write about my personal life in this blog, but i am trying to explain my 3:30 picture and why i am so boring again.
so i went home and was cranky and sorry for myself for a while and then decided to finally get around to making a perpetual photo calendar. i am pretty proud of it, but it's not put together as nicely as the one on photojojo.
so, at 3:30, I was in my room cutting photos. thus:

this is a corner of my office. i didn't alter any colors, this is exactly what it looked like. the umbrella had been sitting there since march or april, when it last rained. it's actually good i took this picture because i'd forgotten where the umbrella was, and i need it for my east coast trip this week!

so, on the inspiration of katie my august project is going to be this: i have set a daily alarm on my phone for 3:30pm and i will take a picture as close to 3:30 as possible.
